FinSA and FinIA: New education course at the University of Zurich
The FinSA and FinIA regulations will come into force at the beginning of 2020. A new era is dawning for independent asset managers. According to news by Finews.ch a company has recently developed an interdisciplinary training course for this purpose.
Independent asset managers and other financial institutions operating in Switzerland must familiarise themselves with the new laws and implement them quickly, subject to the transitional provisions. Experts agree that the use of software tools will play an important role in implementing the necessary controls and processes. For many independent asset managers and previously unregulated asset managers, this means a major change. Against this background, various parties around the newly founded company IRC Partners have developed an interdisciplinary training course aimed at training the participants in the efficient guarantee of the regulatory required investor protection. These partners include Blum & Grob Rechtsanwälte, the software developer Allocare and the University of Zurich.
Adaptation to FinSA and FinIA requires in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and their implementation in day-to-day business. The course aims to meet this requirement and thus enable participants to take the necessary steps to master the new regulatory challenges.
Software enabled Regtech solutions will also be relevant in the area of the prospectus review and the entry into the register of client advisors.
